Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Lisa Siciliano
Do not delete. I'll find some more information soon and display it. Lets keep it as a stub for now until I can write a comprehensive history.
Do not delete. She's a theater actress, but not in New York. I don't think she's been in any films. Does anyone know of a website to refer to? Please list some sites on the talk page.
You'll have to establish some sort of notability. If she's never made a film and has never been on Broadway, how could she possibly be notable enough to have an encyclopedia article written about her? RickK 00:03, Nov 27, 2004 (UTC)
- Another apparently lost/orphaned VfD nom, as the tag was added November 25, but it doesn't seem to have ever been placed on the main VfD page--also not on "old" (and is an orphan). Procedural/delete--young college student and local thespian who, according to this interview[1], a) has never had a paying role, and b) has her hopes of reaching Broadway diminishing, but hopes someday to do off-Broadway work. No imdb or ibdb entry; less than 60 displayed hits, and most are related to her Yale studies, and coming in second in a local Ohio racquetball tournament. Niteowlneils 18:39, 27 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- Delete. I don't think we need to catalog all small-time (no offence intended) actors and actresses. --fvw* 19:53, 2004 Nov 27 (UTC)
- Delete Lisa is a junior theater studies major concentrating in performance and directing [2] Mozzerati 21:33, 2004 Nov 27 (UTC)
- Delete: It's a tough gig, and I'm sure she's talented, but she is not notable and fit for an encyclopedia yet. Geogre 01:32, 28 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- Delete, but one can be a pretty notable theater actor, even in the U.S., without hitting Broadway. Sarah Rudinoff, for example, and I see we don't have an article on her and probably should. -- Jmabel | Talk 07:10, Nov 28, 2004 (UTC)
- According to Lisa (during an interview at the Non-Union Actors Network)
NUAN-So, is acting your only source of income right now?
Lisa Siciliano-Ah hah---well, at this point, I am still a student and have never been paid to act....I worked on Tony 'n Tina's wedding in Cleveland, the longest running professional production here but was paid as a summer internship, and Yale paid me, not the theater company. It was basically $2000 off my tuition but as jobs--I've been a teacher, journalist, etc.
If she hasn't been paid for her work by the theather company, I doubt she's notable, but if you can prove me wrong, I'm happy to reconsider. Maybe it'll help if you mention some recent employers and plays... For now: Delete. [[User:MacGyverMagic|Mgm|(talk)]] 11:05, Nov 29, 2004 (UTC)
- Delete. Completely unencyclopedic and non-notable. FWIW, I did "Joey and Maria's Comedy Italian Wedding" for three seasons. I sure don't warrant an article. :^) - Lucky 6.9 23:05, 30 Nov 2004 (UTC)
