[edit]I do not have a personal knowledge of that incident, but I spoke to people who traveled to Soviet Union few years later and they say that they met Russians who have seen aftermath of Chinese - Soviet war in which Chinese were sending hundreds of thousands of lightly armed troops and Soviets had a laser cannons mowing them to the ground and a river. That caused standoff and eventual Chinese withdrowal. I would like to obtain more details on the subject of two Communist Empires involved in a turf war.
I'll try and find something with regards to this standoff. I believe it happened in the late 1960s, when Sino-Soviet relationships went downhill. KNewman 17:31, Sep 22, 2004 (UTC)
Exactly. I didn't know there was an article on it. Thanks! KNewman 04:07, Sep 23, 2004 (UTC)
