The featured article page mentions that this page has a listing of each featured article and when it was featured. However, currently it only shows them in order. Is it possible to get at least an approximate date when each article on this page was actually featured? I'd like to look at how much and how quickly a featured article further improves after being featured. Taxman 15:13, Apr 29, 2004 (UTC)
- I have added the dates. The first half dozen featured articles are pretty hard to pin down, because it was changed so often then. I imposed the 24-hour rule to prevent just that. →Raul654 15:27, Apr 29, 2004 (UTC)
- Excellent, thank you. Wow, that was quick. Taxman 16:34, Apr 29, 2004 (UTC)
I propose that the articles Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Irish Houses of Parliament, Rudyard Kipling, U.S. Electoral College, and Peerage (first 5 on the chronological list) be removed from this list so that they may re-enter the featured articles "queue". The first two were given short shrift on the main page (5 hrs and 10 hrs, respectively). The last three were "featured" before the current format was used; that is, they were merely given a link on the front page instead of a whole paragraph and picture (see [1]). At the very least, the last three should be given a chance to be fully featured without having to wait for everything else to be featured first. Any objections? --Minesweeper 06:29, May 12, 2004 (UTC)
- Keep them on the list for historical purposes, but unbold them at Wikipedia:Featured articles. However, this doesn't guarentee that I'll choose to feature them right away. →Raul654 23:59, May 12, 2004 (UTC)
- I removed the three that haven't been "featured on the Main Page via MediaWiki:Feature" as the intro says. I'm content to leave the others since they were at least featured on MediaWiki:Feature at one point, even if only briefly. --Minesweeper 10:09, May 15, 2004 (UTC)
