Vilakudy is a small village in Kerala, Southern India. It has nothing particular to boast about. But still it remains, arguably, one of the most beautiful villages in Kerala, which is not yet spoiled by the growing urban invasion. It is at least 60 km away from Kerala's capital city Trivandrum. And if you travel 50 km towards east, it is Tamil Nadu. Sabarimala, the famous Hindu temple, is 100 km away from this scenic spot.

Vilakudy has an Ayyappa temple in the west while it has a mosque in the east. Further east, there is a church as well. Besides having a Lower Primary School, Upper Primary School and a High School, it has a BeD college.

Residents of vilakudy are working in all parts of the world; from Bangalore to Canada.
