Naming

[edit]

I have moved this article to this name (rather than St. Albans Abbey), for consistency with St Albans Cathedral, and for the same reasons. - MykReeve 20:54, 5 Jul 2004 (UTC)

Picture

[edit]

The picture isn't even of the Abbey. But I have no idea how to change it. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 129.234.4.76 (talkcontribs) .

If you read a bit more carefully, you'll see that in fact it is. The Abbey Gateway in the photo is indeed one of the only surviving buildings of the abbey.
The Cathedral may be known locally as "the abbey", but is in fact only the church of what was the Benedictine abbey. The Cathedral is described (and pictured) on the St Albans Cathedral page. --David Edgar 11:53, 6 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
