Seppalas are probably the mostly highly developed purebred sleddog breed ... but ... This is a primitive breed. Isn't there a bit of a contradiction there? And whose criteria are used to make these labels? RickK 03:29 20 Jul 2003 (UTC)

Your point is well-taken. I have tried to resolve the contradiction with more precise language and have made what I hope are appropriate NPOV corrections. Thanks! :-) Ditkoofseppala 04:26 20 Jul 2003 (UTC)

Deletion nomination?

[edit]

I noticed this article was nominated for deletion - There is no reason for this. I am happy to support the un-cited information in this article with official published sources, primarily the highly detailed record books by Douglas Willet, though this will take considerable time.

This breed and topics surrounding it tend to be controversial in sled dog circles, but it is an immensely important piece of Siberian sled dog history, and I disagree entirely with the possibility of this article being deleted. It appears that there was a result of "no consensus" in the deletion discussion, but I have never confronted this issue before so I am unsure if I should remove the deletion notice.
