FOX News
[edit]I'm sorry my reversion offended you, but I must stand by it. I don't think an allegation made by a blog on a very minor subject - and one where FOX's malice aforethought is by no means clear - is sufficient to merit inclusion in a Wikipedia article. I agree with the previous item you added since Carl Cameron was clearly in the wrong; however, anyone is capable of an editorial mistake. Since there is no proof, I must give FOX the benefit of the doubt on this one, as I did CBS on their recent instance of clear editorial error. My opinion on the subject is, of course, irrelevant. I don't kid myself about FOX's journalistic practices; I'm simply interested in keeping the article relevant and unbiased. Ðåñηÿßôý | Talk 00:10, 3 Oct 2004 (UTC)
Vandalism
[edit]It seems that some GNAA/Anti-GNAA troll moved your talk page to Talk:wikiwikiwikiwikiwiki...wikiwiki. This page was deleted and moved back by some benevolent admin. Your user page, however, got moved to an invalid article title</a>. It appears that it's gone to that great big bit bucket in the sky. I hope you have a backup, or that I'm wrong. Either is quite fine. -- [[User:Bobdoe|BobDoe]] 07:18, 4 Oct 2004 (UTC)
- Complain to Postdlf, who appears to have deleted your user page in an attempt to fix the vandalism. An admin would need to undelete it so you can move it back. VV 07:55, 4 Oct 2004 (UTC)
- Thanks both of you. No worries, I didn't have anything interesting on my user page anyway.
- Thank god we have an article on GNAA to attract these sorts of trolls; wikipedia would be worthless without it. Wolfman 15:09, 4 Oct 2004 (UTC)
I'll delete your mucked up user page, you can do what you want with it from here. -- Jmabel 17:41, Oct 4, 2004 (UTC)
jk military service
[edit]what do you want to do about jk military section... is it ripe to remove it from JK since we have it duplicated? --kizzle 06:07, Oct 5, 2004 (UTC)
- I made a comment on the JK Talk page about this. Although, it probably got buried under all the Xed stuff. 2 points:
- we need to have a brief entry summarizing the important points of his service. the JK article should read acceptably as a bio without referring to the military service page, so some duplication is ok. but all the detailed stuff should be reserved for the sub-page. the wording needs to be posted in JK talk for comment. i haven't taken a crack at this yet, have you?
- probably best to get a few others to agree to the deletion at this point. some may feel it's best to leave it until after the election to avoid any conflict. Wolfman 06:14, 5 Oct 2004 (UTC)
i am returning to comment on the systemic bias page. i am not interested in commenting anymore on JFK, nor in taking part in a show trial.--Xed 12:37, 5 Oct 2004 (UTC)
Re: Margin of error
[edit]I have responded to your questions on the talk page. Thanks for looking the article over, and let me know if you have any further questions or comments! Best, Andrew (Fadethree) 18:46, 7 Oct 2004 (UTC)
- Thanks again, Wolfman, for your question. I have replied again at the talk page. Let me know if my reply withstands scrutiny. Best, Andrew (Fadethree) 6:29, 12 Oct 2004 (UTC)
- I just wanted to let you know that I've made some revisions to the Margin of error page. 95% is much more common than I first assumed, and I have restructured the article to address this. Thanks for your support, Andrew (Fadethree) 21:57, 13 Oct 2004 (UTC)

Article for deletion
[edit]Thanks for pointing out the VVAW thing. I'll mark it for speedy and some admin will probably take care of it... speedily. :) JamesMLane 04:03, 12 Oct 2004 (UTC)
Your revision of John Kerry's position on mandatory service for HS graduation
[edit]Wolfman, you have reverted on Revival of the draft and on Conscription three times, and refused to participate on the talk pages to resolve this. You are welcome to include Kerry's current position on the draft if you want to. You will probably find it in the same debate transcript as Bush position. I beleive the quote is something like "I oppose the draft too". Keep in mind however, that my quote is his position, not on the military draft, but his position on mandatory service for High School graduation. Note that conscription covers non-military service as well, and this is also relevant regarding the Senator's propensity to use such coercive means. To the best of my knowledge this is his current and latest know position on mandatory service for High School graduation. His campaign has issue no new statements on the subject, in fact this statement was removed from its original site, although it is preserved on his site in several quotes in the forum, all of which are in agreement as to the wording. Perhaps you had not realized John Kerry's propensity to use such coercive and immoral means, when you initially raised the issue.
If you find a later JK position on mandatory service for high school graduation, feel free to also reference, however this position still has relevance, unless you think his positions are unimportant.--Silverback 05:42, 14 Oct 2004 (UTC)
The Rexurrection
[edit]I agree with you that the anon is Rex. The terms of the current injunction don't refer to "articles related to John Kerry" but rather to a specific list of articles. The latest edits were to articles that aren't on the list because they didn't exist at the time of the injunction. On an application to the ArbCom, we might get the injunction broadened. Let's keep an eye out to see if problem edits become extensive enough to require us to try that. (Side note to Rex, who I'm sure is reading this: The section heading is a small, harmless pun, and no disrespect to anyone's religion is intended or implied.) JamesMLane 16:33, 23 Oct 2004 (UTC)
De Ros
[edit]I am afraid I cannot say for sure which source it comes from, but it definitely looks like it is lifted from another piece of literature (which, for all we know, could be public domain). -- Emsworth 16:27, 24 Oct 2004 (UTC)
- Hi, thanks for your note. It's surprising that our paths haven't crossed before, but I tend to wander around in my own little world much of the time. Deb 18:14, 24 Oct 2004 (UTC)
Exasecond
[edit]Check to make sure it is clear that the vote I made is for Exasecond and not the article above it. I just recently visited Vfd and found that it looked like a vote for the article in the section above it. 66.32.250.110 00:47, 25 Oct 2004 (UTC)
RfA nomination
[edit]Hi Wolfman,
Just wanted to say thanks for the vote of support at RfA. It looks like I've been promoted, and I look forward to serving Wikipedia. –spencer195 17:29, 29 Oct 2004 (UTC)
Thank You Friend
[edit]Hey Wolfman, I dig that name. I want to thank you for your support. It looks like I'm not going to make it but, that's life. I want you to know that you can count on me as your Wikipedian friend.

- Kerry 252

Misunderstanding?
[edit]Thank you for your reminder about the NPOV of WP articles. 1. Please point out exactly where did I ever imply that "the people we write about have to be neutral themselves". 2. Why did you decide to (mis)place it on VFD page? I suggest you move it here or someplace else. ←Humus sapiens←Talk 07:35, 7 Nov 2004 (UTC)
military service disambig page
[edit]sounds good to me, although we just need to do a quick glance-over because i think people have actually changed a few minor things on the spin-off page before we merge the two. --kizzle 19:53, Nov 7, 2004 (UTC)
I am not convinced. 216.153.214.94 22:49, 7 Nov 2004 (UTC)
