Non-notable person who happens to have been the roommate of a screenwriter. Created by the same person who is peppering Harold and Kumar subtrivia all over the place. RickK 23:06, Nov 28, 2004 (UTC)
- I'm the page creator. As a new user, I did voluntarily remove links to the meekrab and the cherry hill white castle, and have no disagreement over that. However, I would have to disagree here. I don't think a person who has a major movie made of him can be classified as non-notable.--Foolano 23:38, 28 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle is a major movie? Dude, where's your sense of perspective? Delete. --Calton 00:38, 29 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- it was a nationwide and international screening release by a major studio, whether you liked the movie or not, or whether it did well financially are seperate issues. --Foolano 00:50, 29 Nov 2004 (UTC)(Foolano deleted this comment, making my response to it look rather strange)
- international screening release is pretty much a meaningless term. It certainly hasn't screened here in Japan, the world's second largest movie market. It's also weird that you focus on my opinion of the movie and of its financial performance, neither of which have come up in this exchange. Fancruft is fancruft, no matter how personally obsessed you may be with the subject, so again I say, Dude, where's your sense of perspective? --Calton 01:11, 29 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- Deleted it cause I didn't want to get personal/ flame war NOT to make your response look bad (as I personally explained to you when i deleted). But it you want it back fine. If you can I'd appreciate it if we can keep the discussion objective, please refrain from using dude where's your perspective thanks.--Foolano 03:41, 30 Nov 2004 (UTC)

- Merge with Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle. Gamaliel 00:42, 29 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- Keep. Redirecting articles on people is a bad idea, in my opinion. While it's nice to see that RickK is having fun chasing people around, I'd rather see him focus his attention on people who are actually causing harm. anthony 警告 03:55, 29 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- Bite me. Now go RfC that. RickK 05:14, Nov 29, 2004 (UTC)
- I've added it to the list. I hope you weren't offended by my comment. I just wish you'd find something more productive to do with your time. There are plenty of real problem users to worry about. anthony 警告 13:55, 29 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- Anthony, RickK, is there any way we can try to be more civil here? Anthony, if you can try not to provoke people by mocking their behavior, things will go more smoothly. RickK, it's not helpful when you snap under the pressure. Everyone take deep breaths. It's just an article on an encyclopedia website. We all care about the project, and have different visions of what it should look like. That's no reason to mock each other and be rude. --Improv 07:15, 30 Nov 2004 (UTC)

- Then redirect it to a person, Harold B. Lee (LDS president), and mention this claim in Harold & Kumar.
Delete. Cool Hand Luke 06:43, 29 Nov 2004 (UTC)- That would certainly be a better solution than redirecting a person to a movie. I'd prefer a disambig page, though. I've never heard of Harold B. Lee. Did anyone make a movie about him? anthony 警告 13:58, 29 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- LDS i believe stands for Latter Day Saints aka the Mormon Church in popular vernacular. If so HBL should be considered notable, there are millions of followers in the US alone. However Harold Lee is a real person not a ficitional movie character, and he didn't do anything notable afaik and I don't claim that he did, but that doesn't mean he isn't notable because he did inspire a hollywood movie made about him(how that came about is a seperate issue i think), which I don't think you can say for very many people.--Foolano 03:54, 30 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- Um, yea, Harold B. Lee kinda led the LDS Chruch, and his name would be recognizable to millions of people (namely, Mormons). There's also Harold Lee Washington, mayor of Chicago, so how about the following disambig:

Harold Lee might refer to:
- Harold B. Lee, a President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
- Harold Lee Washington, the first African American mayor of Chicago, Illinois
- Harold Lee, a Korean American and former roomate of Jon Hurwitz who allegedly inspired the character "Harold" in Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle
- Merge useful context into the article for the movie itself. No redirect. -- Antaeus Feldspar 05:59, 30 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- Delete. Not notable. --Improv 07:15, 30 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- The disambiguation page as written above is very good, but is Harold Lee Washington ever actually called "Harold Lee"? It sort of looks like calling James Fenimore Cooper "James Fenimore" or something. Or, worse yet, referring to John Wilkes Booth as "John Wilkes". -R. fiend 22:27, 2 Dec 2004 (UTC)
